I’m a web designer and developer based in Dorset, specialising in WordPress websites and search engine optimisation. I enjoy helping businesses and organisations build websites that are clear, fast, and well structured, with strong technical foundations that support long term search visibility.

Alongside my web design work, I am an Application Developer working within the NHS and currently studying for an MSc in Digital Technology Specialist, focusing on Data and Analytics. Technology has always been a central part of my career, and building websites began as a personal interest that gradually developed into a paid hobby and creative outlet.

Over the years I have worked with a wide range of technologies, from front end development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to server side development, WordPress, and Linux based hosting environments. My journey into technology began in Pretoria, South Africa, later took me to London for ten years, and eventually brought me to Dorset, where I settled in 2008.

I have always been interested in both the technical and creative sides of building things. My academic background includes BSc degrees in Geology and Music Technology, followed by further study in software engineering and networking certifications such as Cisco CCNA. This mix of analytical thinking and creative design strongly influences how I approach web projects.

One of the reasons I enjoy building websites for small businesses is that many organisations struggle to navigate the digital space and can sometimes end up paying for services they do not fully understand. I prefer to work in a transparent and practical way, helping clients understand how their website works, how search engines see it, and what genuinely improves visibility online.

Outside of technology and design, music has always been another long standing passion. I am a classically trained pianist and currently play keyboards in a local five piece band, Jak the Lad, which was originally formed in 1989.
